About storytrixel

A resource for people who tell stories with a camera.

storytrixel started in a small studio in Bristol with a simple goal: teach the full craft of digital video storytelling, from the first page of a script to the final export, in one connected curriculum.

Our story

Our founder spent over a decade shooting corporate films and short documentaries before noticing the same gap on every set: crews were strong in one discipline — writing, camera, or lighting — but rarely confident across all three. storytrixel was built to close that gap with a single course that treats script, camera, light and edit as one connected skill.

Today, storytrixel is taught by working cinematographers, gaffers and editors, and every lesson is filmed on a real production set so what you learn transfers directly to your own work.

What we believe

Our values

Story before spectacle

Every technique we teach serves the story first. Lighting and camera work exist to support it.

Learn on real sets

Lessons are filmed on working studio sets, not lecture slides, so every technique is grounded.

Built for deadlines

Workflows are designed around the pace of real productions, not idealised classroom time.
